Tour Guide Bangkok is a small independent website for travelers deciding whether to hire a private guide in Bangkok, and how. It is published by the Tour Guide Bangkok team, which is a small organization rather than a newsroom. There is no staff of travel journalists, and we don't claim one.
What we do
- Record the prices private guides currently list, and publish the aggregates with the date and method.
- Take entrance fees, opening hours and entry rules from official sources wherever we can reach them, and label anything we couldn't confirm.
- Build simple tools, like the cost planner, that do the arithmetic for your own group.
What we don't do
- We don't sell tours, take bookings, or employ guides.
- We don't rank or review individual guides, and we haven't taken the tours we describe. Nothing here is a first-hand review.
- Our pages aren't reviewed by lawyers or licensed Thai guides. Where a page touches on Thai law, it cites the sources it relies on and says what we couldn't check.
How the site is funded
The site currently has no advertising and no affiliate links. If that changes, we will say so on the pages concerned and on this page before any such links go live.
